We are passionate about our local community and supporting local causes and people - especially those within the Leicester area and Braunstone where our office showroom is based.

We are also trying to be more environmentally friendly by reducing, reusing and recycling when we can.

Our Office Showroom

We only use eco friendly cleaning products in our office showroom. These do not include toxic chemicals and are safe for the envronment as well as for our team members.

We try to limit the amount we print out and also recycle all of our used ink cartridges - we will soon be able to accept used ink cartridges* for recycling from members of the public.

We have applied to be a part of Valpak's #PowerToDoMore battery recycling awareness campaign and soon you will be able to drop in your old batteries to be recycled.

We have also switched our toilet rolls to a company who are B Corp™ certified, free from plastic, inks, dyes and scents and they donate 50% of their profits to charitable organisations that do all sorts of incredible work, including building toilets for the 2 billion people who still don't have access to one.

The Leon York Heating Roundabout

We sponsor a roundabout on the A47 Hinckley Road / Clickers Way / Leicester Road.

Our sponsorship means Leicestershire County Council now take measures to maintain and care for the roundabout which in turn will improve the quality of the local environment.

Braunstone Community Life Food Bank

We are continually raising FREE donations for Braunstone Community Life Food Bank by using Easy Fundraising whenever we do our online shopping.

Over 4,000 online retailers including Just Eat, eBay, Etsy, Argos and M&S are ready to give a free donation every time you shop online.

Plus, once you’ve signed up and raised £5 in donations, easyfundraising will give an extra £5 bonus donation.

Braunstone Community Life Food Bank also accept donations of food and essential living items on Friday's at the Braunstone Civic Center. This is by appointment only and you can find out more via their Facebook Group here - Braunstone Community Life Food Bank Facebook Group

Here at Leon York Heating, we aim to donate food and essential items to the food bank at least twice a month.

Braunstone Life - Community Newspaper

We are patrons of the Braunstone Life - A community newspaper for the area of Braunstone Town.

One of our team also helps to deliver the Braunstone Life to houses in the local area.

Braunstone & South Leicestershire Litter Wombles

One of our team is a Facebook member of the Braunstone and South Leicestershire Little Wombles and regularly litter picks around the local area.

These 2 Facebook groups have been set up to join local people together for the cause. Group picks are regularly organised (unless we are in a lockdown) although people are free to pick solo as and when. Free kits may be available - Just check the articles within the groups!

Braunstone Golden Gloves ABC

Braunstone Golden Gloves ABC Gym is a grassroots community gym based in the Braunstone park area. This area is the 25th most deprived area of 324 local authority areas with a higher than average number of children in Leicester living in poverty.  

The gym is popular with adults and children alike. A number of promising young boxers attend the gym and we are pleased to be able to sponsor some of these young and ambitious individuals.

Braunstone Golden Gloves ABC do some fantastic work with some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged young people in this area and we will continue to be involved where we can.

Leicester Down Syndrome Group ❤ A total of £478 was raised!

We were proud to sponsor Hannah Davies (who was crowned ''Miss Leicestershire'') through her journey to the ''Miss England'' finals where Hannah won ''Miss Talent'' for her dancing performances. Well Done Hannah!

We sponsored Benn Norman From Braunstone ABC through part of his boxing journey.

He has since became one of our very own gas apprentices! Welcome to the team, Benn!

Benn continues with his boxing journey outside of learning the trade.
