1. Get your boiler serviced

Getting a service helps spot those small problems that could turn into major ones – potentially saving you thousands of pounds and an awful lot of shivering.

In support of Gas Safety Week (16-22 September 2019), Leon York Heating are participating in Gas Safety Week 2019 to inform the public of gas safety issues and to remind everyone of the importance of having an annual gas safety check by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

This Gas Safety Week we are informing the public of a wide range of gas safety matters throughout the week. This includes how to help your vulnerable loved ones to stay gas safe, what to do if you suspect your gas engineer is an illegal fitter, and advise not to DIY when it comes to gas and leave it to the expert engineers from the Gas Safe Register.

The start of June 2019 marked 1 whole year since Jack joined Leon York Heating as one of our gas apprentices.

After already completing part of his plumbing and heating qualifications at college, Jack was keen to make the move from retail to complete his qualifications on the job and re-enrolling at college on an apprenticeship.

From the off, Jack has been dedicated, willing to learn and has come on leaps and bounds - we could not be prouder!

We are so proud to announce that our local sponsored boxer Dione "MILLION DOLLAR" Burman from Braunstone Golden Gloves in Braunstone, Leicester is now the England Boxing Youth Cadet 57-60kg NATIONAL CHAMPION.

From first seeing Dione, we knew that she had natural boxing talent and we wanted to be involved to help Dione achieve her goals.

Dione is dedicated, hardworking and puts her all into her boxing from training to fight days and we could not be more proud of this ambitious local boxer.

The volunteers at the gym do fantastic work with some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged young people in the area.

We like to invest in our local community and especially the talented youth boxers within the boxing gym at Braunstone Golden Gloves.

Braunstone Golden Gloves ABC Gym is a grassroots community gym and the gym is popular with adults and children alike. 

A number of promising young boxers attend the gym and the volunteers do fantastic work with some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged young people in the area.

Braunstone park area is the 25th most deprived area of 324 local authority areas with a higher than average number of children in Leicester living in poverty. 

Attending the gym helps young people and adults in so many ways, with physical and mental health, discipline, respect, pride, community spirit, positive use of leisure time to name a few. 

As Autumn / Winter draws closer & due to high demand, we have decided to extend our working days to a full 7 days a week for new central heating and boiler installations.

We hope this will mean we can ensure more of our customers can be cosy and warm during these colder months.

Here at Leon York Heating, we have been working behind the scenes to secure a location from which to work from and we are proud to announce that on Sunday the 1st of July we were handed the keys to our new business premises!

Initially, the space will be used as storage / an office although eventually we will be creating an office / showroom where we will be able to showcase the products we use such as boilers and unvented cylinders, pipework and radiators etc as well as being able to book visits for free quotes for any potential central heating works people may require.

The weekend provides an opportunity to see some of the stars of the England Boxing Elite Championships in action against Scotland and Wales at the Magna Science and Adventure Centre in Rotherham.

The GB Elite Three Nations is being hosted by England and features bouts between the most exciting boxers in the UK.
